Apalachicola National Forest

The Apalachicola National Forest is Florida’s largest national forest, protecting more than 571,088 acres to the south and west of Tallahassee, the state capital. It sits south of Interstate 10, north of US 98, and east of the Apalachicola River, and encompasses some of the state’s most interesting botanical and geological sites, including Leon Sinks and the Apalachee Savannas.
