Forest Service Hosts Resource Advisory Committee Aug 9

On August 9, 2010, the U.S Forest Service will host the first meeting of the federally designated Secure Rural Schools Resource Advisory Committee (RAC).  The public is invited to attend the meeting to be held at the Forest Supervisor’s Office located at 325 John Knox Road, Suite F-100, Tallahassee, from 1:15 – 4:30 p.m.

At this first meeting, RAC members will get to know each other, review the mission of the RAC as outlined in the Secure Rural Schools legislation, elect a chairperson and discuss ways to solicit potential projects.   Anyone interested in National Forest management can attend and a period of time will be allocated for public participants to provide input.
