Brush reduction in Paisley Woods area

Starting July 12, contractors will be clearing thick brush from the longleaf forests near Paisley in the Ocala National Forest to restore the habitat to one more suitable for red cockaded woodpeckers and other species who need the open understory that a healthy longleaf pine forest provides.

Trails Reopen in Bradwell Bay

The Florida Trail in Bradwell Bay and OHV Trails 3,3B and 3C have reopened after the wildfire, which was brought under control earlier this week by fire crews in the Apalachicola National Forest.
